Update on Noela of Cameroon

Update on our friend Noela, the young Cameroonian school teacher who was the subject of our last post: She was transferred from the Montgomery Detention Center near Houston to the Prairieland Detention center near Dallas in the last couple of days, and is now among the 100+ people – mostly Cameroonians, some Congolese - being held there. Most of these asylum seekers were brought to that location also in the last couple of days. They have been given no information other than that they have to prepare their luggage to weigh no more than x lbs. One person spotted a sign which announced a flight to Cameroon on the 13th.

Please call your member of Congress and ask them to demand that this proposed mass deportation be stopped now!
