Beverly ortiz

Beverly Ortiz, our newest Tia, started out joining Lizee and Susan at the Matamoros camp, meeting with the migrant families there and learning what their needs were. Once the coronavirus put an end to on-site visits, Beverly began working with Madeleine, helping immigration detainees. When detainees are released, they need support with transportation, food, sometimes housing, and Beverly has pitched in to help with those issues, often coordinating with the families of the detainees.
